Cramped, Congested and suffocated

The popular cloth show room based in Chennai usman road had recently opened a boutique in GN Chetty road. It assured customers that there was ample parking space. Located next to vani mahal, it is a strategic place neither located in the crowded  cloth-textile-eatery belt of usman road nor far from it. Its strategic location near to a traffic junction itself is a pain for the regular traffic. As vehicles try to enter the shop from the road, there is a traffic jam. With festival Season one need not ask for any more.

One entering the building, it appears that the building has been designed for an office rather a big store. The floor area is too cramped and there was widespread commotion. One different thing about the boutique is escalators. Customers can go from one floor to another through it. In some floors the crowd is in excess than what can be handled. There is a big queue in front of the trial room, billing and collection. Toilets are no exempt. There is parking space but it is not that big.  The shop more resembled a crowded open air market. To be precise, it was like the road side market bordering the mambalam railway station. Because of the cramped condition, one thing was short: Air for breathing. The top of the building was heavily coated with the black soot from the generator.

For a compulsive shopper, it would be an experience of chaos, patience and noise
