Compassion

Cold winter morning -BHCSLayoutPark. Morning walkers are enjoying their walk. Few are doing their routine exercise.  The park can slightly exert the walker as one part of it is situated on a slope. Two squirrels are jumping across and making merry. Their faces are bright with joy. Environmental cleansers are busy doing their duty.  The road abetting the park is also busy with walkers. An old man slowly enters the road. He is being helped by his relative. He slowly ascends the steep portion of the road and seems to enjoy the walk. Suddenly he falls down but his held safely by the person accompanying them. One resident rushes out and brings a chair. The old man is gently helped into the chair. Another resident brings a jug of warm water.  Meanwhile the old man appears to be better and tries to get up. No he can’t. Another resident brings his car and the old man is helped into it.  There is no commotion or crowding. Two dogs witness this act. They seem to have understood the situation. One person in the park is loudly playing “Why this kolaveri di?”
